What does an evaluator or mentor do? Click here to find out. (Click again to close.)

We need business, civic, and community members to serve as panel evaluators and/or mentors for the Senior Projects completed by the students at East Greenwich High School.

As a Senior Project panel evaluator, you will hear and evaluate the culminating presentations of five (5) or six (6) seniors.  Each presentation is approximately 8-12 minutes in length, with a five-minute question and answer period.  The time commitment to serve as a panel evaluator, including training, will not exceed four (4) hours.

As a mentor, your role is to guide a student toward the successful completion of a Senior Project.  You may:

  • offer advice and redirection on the focus of the minimum of 15 hours of fieldwork the student completes independently,
  • suggest or provide sources for the research paper,
  • listen to and provide feedback on  the student’s practice speech, and
  • complete the evaluation form and verify the time log associated with the student’s fieldwork.

If you would like to be an evaluator please list below any seniors at East Greenwich High School to whom you are related so that you will not be asked to evaluate their presentation. If there are other students you would not feel comfortable evaluating, you may list them also.
